This project is entitled Created Masculinities and focuses on the way people choose to construct and create masculinity both within themselves and in their presentation to others. The series features one more traditional portrait, and one image of an object that each individual brought per person. This objects can be related to societal constructions of masculinity, a tool that they utilize to create it in physical appearance or as metaphorical as they want. Ultimately, I wanted to try and encompass the ways in which people choose to create masculinities outside of societal expectations and examine their own personal connections to the term.
